Our Current Work
The Queer Youth Resource Center (QYRC) is an established 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to serving LGBTQ+ youth and their allies in Vancouver and greater Southwest Washington. Our current work includes:
Promoting LGBTQ+ youth relevant resources and events
Participating in local networking and outreach
Planning and hosting recreational youth events
Maintaining our website and social media
Engaging in fundraising and grant writing efforts
Volunteer Positions and Expectations
We welcome family, friends, service providers and general stakeholders invested in queer youth, as well as queer youth themselves, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, or experience level, to get involved in our work. We have positions open within our Board of Directors, and always appreciate general advisors and volunteers. We are in search of volunteers who:
Can support QYRC activities, events, and online efforts
Have experience and connections throughout the LGBTQ+ community
Are energetic, passionate, reliable, committed, and group-oriented
Have a background in event planning, accounting, fundraising, real estate, mental & physical health, education, marketing, and communications
